About Me

My photo
Joel L. Fletcher
I am a native of Lousiana and a graduate of Tulane. I served as a gunnery officer in the U. S. Navy, directed a language school in Florence, Italy, and worked in England and France in the field of educational exchange for the Council on International Educational Exchange and the City University of New York. For the past thirty-five years I have been a dealer in fine art, have written widely on art, and curated a number of museum exhibitions. I am currently a partner (with John Copenhaver) in Fletcher/Copenhaver Fine Art, specializing in nineteenth and early-twentieth century Amercan and European Fine Art (www.fc-fineart.com). I am the author of "Ken & Thelma, The Story of a Confederacy of Dunces," a memoir that inspired the 2010 documentary: "John Kennedy Toole...the omega point," (www.jktoole.com)
